Full Chapter 1 - PowerPoint slide

I. Personal Computer Systems
Personal Computer (PC) is a multi-purpose computer whose size, capabilities, and price make it feasible for individual use.
- Cases and Power Supplies (Detail in Video)
Cases:A computer case, also known as a computer chassis, tower, system unit is the enclosure that contains most of the components of a personal computer. Cases are usually made from steel or aluminum
Power Supplies: Power supply unit (PSU) is used to convert mains AC to low-voltage regulated DC power for the internal components of a computer.
- Internal PC Components
Internal is used to describe a device that is installed in the computer (CPU, RAM, VGA, SSD/HDD and more ...)

- Motherboards
The motherboard is a printed circuit board and foundation of a computer that is the biggest board in a computer case. It allocates power and allows communication to and between the CPU, RAM, and all other computer hardware components.

- CPU
CPU known as processor, central processor, or microprocessor. CPU is the central processing unit of the computer. A computer's CPU handles all instructions it receives from hardware and software running on the computer.

-Cooling Systems
It is used to keep your processor temperatures down and the noise levels low. There are two type of cooling: air cooling and liquid cooling.

- Memory (ROM and RAM)
RAM is used to Stores data temporarily, aiding processing
ROM is used to Stores data permanently; often storing firmware and low level programs.

- Adapter Cards and Expansion Slots
Adapter Cards is used to extend computer functionality and Adapter Cards is used to connect to the motherboard through Expansion Slots.
The expansion port or expansion slot is a connection or port located inside a computer on the motherboard.

-Storage Devices
Storage is created to permanently store user data, user applications and the Operating System. It can be internal or external to the computer.

- Video Ports
It connects a video system to an external display device such as a monitor or projector.

- General Ports
General Ports is other ports to provide connectivity between the motherboard and various external devices such as printers, scanner, external storage and video cameras.

- Adapters and Converters
Adapters and converters can be a solution if computer does not have the proper port to connect to a device.
Adapters do not usually process the signal, it simply redirect it to another pin.
Converters are more likely to process and transform the signal, converting it to be accepted by an existing port.

II. Select Computer Components
