LOOKUP formula in Excel

LOOKUP returns a value from a range with one row or column.
FORMULA:

=LOOKUP(lookup_value, lookup_vector, [result_vector])

◾ lookup_value: Required, value you want to lookup.
◾ lookup_vector: Required, range of values or set of data to look into.
◾ [result_vector]: optional, A range that contains only one row or column or can be the same lookup_vector
